Daniel T. Schenz was born on Octobre 20th to Christina and Dietfried Schenz. After his 2004 A-levels at the Wiener Schottengymnasium he studied physics and biology at the University of Vienna for two years. He then concentrated on biology. During his time at school he participated in two student exchange programmes to England, through which he forged strong links to that country.
From 2005 onwards Daniel T. Schenz has worked as deputy managing director of the Austrian Service Abroad. His past engagement in the organisation of his former school‘s theatre was of great help to him here. Since 2006 he is managing director of the organisation. The Austrian Service Abroad offers young Austrians the possibility of a one year‘s Holocaust Memorial, Social or Peace Service. This service can be done in leu of Austria‘s compulsory military service. In a preparation time of at least a year interns will attend a broad set of meetings.
